Weaving with Ngaire East
WorkLife has once again come together with Coal Coast Magazine and a range of amazing local makers to present a Mother’s Day Local Makers Market & series of workshops.
This seasonal market will feature a curated offering from local makers alongside a series of special hands on workshops with the participating makers.
Ngaire East from By The Bila will be hosting a special catered lunchtime workshop sharing her incredible weaving skills. A perfect chance to make something for the special person in your life.
By The Bila produces jewellery, baskets and other woven creations that have been crafted using a traditional Aboriginal weaving style in a contemporary way.
During this workshop you will have the opportunity to make earrings using natural hand died materials using traditional techniques.
The 2hrs workshop will include a beautiful lunch of salads, quiches, juice and wine.
Suitable for ages 12 up.
