Paint the town Yellow!
Well, this Women’s World Cup is about the best guerilla marketing campaign I could ever have conceived of- have you ever seen anything as powerfully optimistic, yellow and female led as this before?
Look at the stars
Look how they shine for you
And everything you do
Yeah, they were all yellow
Let me gift you this Coldplay ear-worm so that you can truly, madly, deeply steep yourself in the magical cultural moment that is afoot in Australia. After all the crap and hardship and challenges of the last few years- I feel like the mood has shifted and the good times are going to keep on rolling again. Go Matilda’s. Go yellow. Go you. Go us.
It’s definitely been a month of excitement and intense activity for the WorkLife team. We have been busily…..
1) Putting the finishing touches on our biggest location to date….WorkLife Picton is due to open in the next week and we couldn’t be more thrilled with how we have managed to sensitively bring the YELLOW to the magical Old Picton Post Office. RSVP to our launch here.
2) Launching the first Flex Futures Report for Flexible Workspace Australia. With the help of WorkLife members businesses like Annamul(design & photography), Fleur Lanham (Lanham Media) and Brenna Kleinig (Summerland Studios for graphics & illustration)- and a whole suite of other coworking operators and FWA Board colleagues, I managed to hit print on this benchmark report describing the state of our industry, the morning of the Global Coworking UnConference in Sydney. A massive milestone.
3) Launching Local.Berry– a new shop-local, support-local campaign of the Berry Chamber of Commerce & Tourism. Again head quartered from WorkLife Berry- this reinvigoration of the local Chamber is designed to diversify our membership, engage and connect local businesses to the professionals, trades, services and creatives that also make up our local community and ensure that we support each other and our local economy wherever we can.
4) Celebrating International Coworking Day with morning teas for members in our spaces and the promotion of our industry via two awesome business podcasts. I had the pleasure of explaining our WorkLife story to Lucy & Carrie from Mumbition and Liz Elam from GCUC – and luckily on listening to both episodes back, I was excited with how they came out, and how compelling the coworking offer is.
Next month we will launch a few new CommunityLife initiatives (think pop-up, short-term street-front retail at WorkLife Coledale & an EOI for an operator for our SocialLife bar in Berry…if either tickles your interest- feel free to get in touch before we announce) PLUS we are deep in the weeds of the details of launching the cult Scandi HOffice movement to Australia to entice a Spring influx of Work-From-Homers to our spaces for a regular FREE day of accountability, community & productivity….
So what are you waiting for? The winter is coming to a close, the town is painted yellow, and there is a spring in my step that there hasn’t been for quite some time.
Come and catch some of the energy & momentum in our spaces….
See you soon!
Kate
