Term Two – new you!

Term Two – new you!

One of my absolute favourite games I play with myself is the slicing and dicing of the year into so many cycles that I can repeatedly summon the ability to start afresh. New year, New term, end of month, New Financial Year, full moon, Monday’s…. your get the idea. But the point is always to stop. Take a breath. Make a fresh plan, And start with the energy and focus you need to be the best version of you.

And so it was last week. After the extended disruptions/ delights of Easter, School Holidays and ANZAC Day all devouring the month of April somehow- the beginning of Term 2 arrived with a sense of the year beginning again.

My most trusted mechanisms for balancing business as usual (grind) and exciting new projects (delight) are our Teams regular 90 Day Planning sessions- and we have another one coming up next week to shape WorkLife’s world for the quarter ahead- if team planning is something you need to do in your work- check out our Agenda & Planning Day recipe below for some inspo on the ‘how’- and then book into your closest WorkLife location for the day- we would LOVE to host lots of teams as they inevitably start FY 24/25 budget and strategic planning cycles.

One of the other rhythms and routines that share the year at WorkLife is  our THREE annual Makers Markets. This weekend for Mother’s Day WorkLife Picton is throwing the doors open and hosting some incredible local makers are creatives with Markets (Saturday 11-Sunday 12) and Artists Workshops (Saturday 11th only). Check out the story below for details and bring the mum-shaped human in your life along for a special experience this mothers day.

The rest of this months newsletter is filled with details of exciting events coming up in our communities- Vision Boarding with Lucy Kippist, IGNITE Talks event in Berry, A Flexible Workspace Australia Meet-up for other operators of independent and regional coworking spaces.

But don’t miss a few recommendations and requests also-

  1. We LOVE the help we get from the team at True Sales Potential in answering our WorkLife phones when we can’t get there. Check out our case study video below for my story about how much they have helped streamline our business- if $100 per week is worth it to you, to never miss an important call OR be able to switch off and focus once in awhile- Jenny would love to hear from you.
  2. I would LOVE you to help us get the village of Berry over the line as the 2024 Top Small Tourism Town. VOTE here– it takes 2 seconds- and it will save me in my role as President of the Berry Chamber of Commerce & Tourism from ever having to do one of these very intense grants ever again if we win again this year. We have won the title in 2022 and 2023- and if we take out the trifecta we win the eternal Hall of Fame status. Votes close next week. (thank you!!)

Hoping to see you at one of our spaces this season- there is A LOT of great stuff happening. If some momentum and energy is needed in your working world- come and catch some of ours. There’s plenty going around 😉

Best wishes,

Kate Dezarnaulds
