Yakka is founded by James and Chelsea, who bring their passion for music, arts, and Australia’s vibrant food and drink culture into everything they do. After years of working in the music and arts industries, they founded Yakka to create a space where people could come together over great wine, good tunes, and a shared love for regional Australian produce. Their focus is on showcasing independent winemakers and building a welcoming community around food, drink, and culture.
By week, the venue is home to WorkLife, a coworking space designed for local professionals and creatives. At 4pm on Fridays, the space transforms into the Yakka Southern Wine Bar for the weekend. This collaborative model allows WorkLife to thrive as a hub for coworkers during the week and then make the most of the Berry weekend vibes by flipping to a vibrant community gathering spot for wine, food, and fun on weekends!
